Uterine Factors

Disorders of the uterus may in some cases contribute to infertility; however, scientific evidence of the effects of uterine factors on fertility is sketchy at present. Fibroid tumors and polyps within the uterus are thought to reduce fertility in some women. Congenital abnormalities in the development of the uterus may also contribute to infertility but more commonly lead to increased rates of pregnancy loss.
