Income-Based IVF Discount Program

Continuum Reproductive Center Addresses Cost of IVF

In Vitro Fertilization Prices

Tens of thousands of women each year undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) in order to realize their dream of pregnancy. For many women and couples, the costs of IVF are prohibitive. While some insurance carriers pay for IVF services, others provide little or no coverage.

In Vitro Fertilization Grants

For the past six years, our center and many of our patients have been the recipients of the New York State Infertility Demonstration Project, a grant that provides IVF funding for lower- and middle-income NY state residents with medical insurance but no IVF coverage. The funds available through this New York State grant program have diminished markedly over the past two years leaving many couples unable to pursue in vitro fertilization services.

Continuum Reproductive Center’s IVF Discount Program

The Continuum Reproductive Center is delighted to continue to make IVF available to medically- and financially-qualified patients based on a sliding-scale model using similar salary criteria as those used in the New York State Infertility Demonstration Project. We provide discounts on IVF fees based on the combined income of the patient and her partner as reported on their most current joint or individual state and federal tax returns.

The Income-Based IVF Discount Program is limited to patients who meet the following requirements:

1. Patients not eligible for, or not selected for, the New York State Infertility Demonstration Project

2. Patients for whom in vitro fertilization is medically-indicated and who have at least a fair to favorable prognosis for a successful outcome

Prior to the initiation of all IVF cycles, all patients/couples must provide proof of income (current tax return) and must sign an affidavit that she/they have no insurance coverage for in vitro fertilization.

The fees are as follows:

Annual Income IVF cycle fee*
< $50,000 $5,750
$50,001-100,000 $6,550
$100,001 - $150,000 $7,550
$150,001 - $200,000 $8,500

* The IVF cycle fee includes physician and laboratory services included in a standard IVF cycle, including intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and assisted embryo hatching when indicated.

The following fees are excluded from the Income-Based Discount Program:

  • Any and all medications
  • Anesthesia fees
  • Embryo biopsies
  • Pre-implantation genetic screening or diagnosis
  • Cryopreservation of eggs or embryos
  • Any laboratory tests completed outside of the CRC
