Martin D. Keltz, MD
Dr. Martin Keltz has been director of the Continuum Reproductive Center since it was founded in 2003. The CRC is the site for assisted reproduction for St. Luke’s Hospital, Roosevelt Hospital, and the patients of their affiliated faculty and voluntary practices; the CRC also serves patients of practitioners at Beth Israel Medical Center and other local and regional centers. In addition to leading the CRC, Dr. Keltz has been director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at St. Luke’s and Roosevelt hospitals since 1995, and he is an associate clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Keltz is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the reproductive endocrinology and infertility subspecialty, and in the obstetrics and gynecology specialty. He obtained his BA from Harvard University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in History and Science, and received his medical degree from New York University, with honors in reproductive research. Dr. Keltz completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University-Bellevue Hospital, and received fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Yale University. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, Society of Reproductive Endocrinology, and the New York Obstetrical Society.
Dr. Keltz’s research has been reported in many respected medical journals and has been presented annually at national and international meetings in reproductive medicine including over 35 peer-reviewed papers and over 35 presented abstracts and posters. His research contributions have centered on the use of sonohysterography for reproductive disorders; screening tests, such as Chlamydia serology, in infertility; techniques and reproductive outcomes in laparoscopy and hysteroscopy; and both clinical and laboratory studies in assisted reproduction (IVF). Dr. Keltz maintains a busy clinical practice at Roosevelt Hospital, and performs over 200 cases of assisted reproduction and over 300 minimally invasive surgeries per year. Dr. Keltz has been recognized as a top doctor nationally by US News and World Report, and was recently selected a Best Doctor in Reproductive Endocrinology by New York Magazine.
